If the people you need most don’t know you need them, how do you expect them to show up? If you want them to, you must reach out and ask for a place to fall; or even better, a hug. Otherwise, they may think you are content facing things alone, or that you simply don’t want their help.
Instead of excluding those that can easily lighten a psychological load. Ask for what (and who) you want. Be inclusive of that which fills your heart. Be inclusive of ease, of bliss, of joy.
