Respect, acceptance, compassion go a long way in resolving conflict.
You are just so used to getting bombarded with information and bashed with responsibilities every second of every day, it is difficult to pick up on these subtler forces.
But they are there.
And they are most necessary when you encounter someone that is down or struggling or alone.
