I have had both.

I have been the destructive part of a relationship and I have filled another (the same, in some cases) with play and forgiveness.

It is amazing that we have such power – the ability to choose either – to turn the weight of a relationship around in a moment – to melt the past and accept the uncertain future by tapping into the power and endless supply of simply being with the person across from us.

I call that power love. Anything else is a diluted version of it, a counterfeit and deception.
