We survive mini-deaths every day.
We survive deaths of amazing friendships and situations. Dear ones enter our lives and then they go.
People change, migrate and evolve.
Some good things fade slowly.
Some wonderful things end abruptly.
To survive any death – a job loss, a relationship (one you thought would never end), even the literal death of a loved one is a triumph. But to have lost and then come out the other side grateful for the experience is a magic beyond understanding.
I think first, just to keep breathing is an absolute miracle. To take note or pay attention to breathing is to make mental and emotional steps toward understanding and acceptance, toward greatness, toward the magic.
